Beginning January 1, 2012, all TASBT certifications will expire 7 years from the date issued.
The Executive Board recommends that all technicians previously certified update their certifications that are older than 7 years.

Tire and Wheel Maintenance and Repair Length: 1 day Class: Presented by TASBT Instructors Certificate given with specific number. The course includes routine tire and wheel maintenance and repair for buses. This class requires recertification every 7 years. Cost $85.00 |

School Bus Preventive Maintenance & Inspection Length: 1 day Class: Presented by TASBT Instructors First half day is in class covering inspection manual. Second half day is hands on training inspection of a school bus. Certificate given with specific number. This class requires recertification every 7 years. Cost $85.00 |
| SBT #3 |
Air Brake Certification Length: 1 day Class: Presented by TASBT instructors Test: Test given by TASBT including general knowledge, component ID and hands on. This class requires recertification every 7 years. The course includes air brakes and information on anti-lock air brake systems. Technicians have to assemble and disassemble foundation brakes, check tolerances on brake drums and S-cam clearances. A score of 80 or better is necessary to receive certification They also have to identify air brake system components. Cost $85.00 |

School Bus Body Electrical Length: 1 day Class: Presented by TASBT Instructors Certificate given with specific number. The course includes basic electrical circuits, multimeter usage and electrical schematics. Technician takes a test on general knowledge, schematic symbols and hands on.
